You will hear some blowoff but no whistle with intake bypass. I just installed my DP and whistle is definitely audible now.

The only thing I've done to Tyrone is removed the resonator, and there are times when I can very clearly hear the turbo spooling. It depends on how much the ECU is allowing it to spool though (when it's still cold, or I've been driving conservatively it keeps the WG pretty open).
