How to figure out if i have normal or Pioneer system?

Hello guys,
i'm new here and i have searched around this site but haven't really seen any post like this. Maybe its gonna sound stupid but its better to ask first and then go from there.
So i am planning on buying a Tesla Style android screen for my Cruze 2012, its a hatchback 1.6 Petrol.
I have seen that those kind of android screen aren't just plug and play on the ones that have pioneer sound systems.
My question is, how can I figure out if my car has pioneer sound system or not?

With the US cars (all sedans), there are two 6x9 speakers in the rear deck and and amp buried somewhere in the trunk as well as the speaker grilles on the door having the Pioneer logo on them. I believe there's also a speaker in the top center of the dashboard. Easiest tell: front door speakers with the logo.


So, if you can only see 4 door speakers and the two tweeters on the A-pillars then you have the regular radio.

All right then. I have speakers on the doors without the pioneer logo, and I don't have a speaker in the top center of the dashboard, therefor it looks like I have the regular one.

Yes, but from what I have read, they are a disappointment all around. Consider this:

The Pioneer system in these are not 'great' but it still sounds significantly better than base GM audio systems. I refuse to look at a new Cruise without it which is really limiting my options.

For me its not about the sound quality per say, I want to add a Tesla Style system because its looks so clean and better, and I would just love to have a screen like that in front of me!

Based on the performance of my Pioneer system, the only thing that could sound worse would be a transistor radio taped to the dash. lol

Ours sounds completely the opposite. It's a fairly decent stock "uplevel" system for what it is - I've been more than happy with it for the 9 years we've owned the car.

Same here. I have no plan on ever buying another vehicle without premium audio.

Dunno, my Pioneer system sounds pretty darn good for a factory system. Could use a little more bass, but that's easily fixed in the trunk. 😜

The factory Pioneer system I had in my Cobalt could literally blow the doors off the stock Pioneer system used in the Cruze. The Cruze Pioneer lacks both highs and lows, and just sounds muted by comparison.
