HOW TO INSTALL LEDGLOW INTERIOR KIT IN 2012 CRUZE

Things you will need:

 • Mini Add-A-Fuse (BE SURE YOU GET MINI!)
 • Electrical Tape
 • Crimp/Wire Cutters
 • LEDGLOW Install Kit

Steps to installing:

 • Remove Fuse Panel - Located on the left side of the steering wheel. Pops right off.
 • Remove Fuse #6 - Refer to fuse panel cover or manual. This is the front power outlet fuse.
 • Insert Removed Fuse Into Front Of Add-A-Fuse - Take your add-a-fuse and place the 20 you just removed from the box into the front of it. Slot opposite red wire.
 • Plug The Add-A-Fuse Back Into Fuse Box - Plug the add-a-fuse back in and turn your ignition to run. Test to see if your front outlet is still working. Use a phone charger or something that will be obvious. If it isn't working switch the fuse around. You may have put it in backwards. NOTE: Turn off your car before you remove anything.
 • Plug Accessory Fuse Into Add-A-Fuse - You can remove the add-a-fuse again. This time you are going to plug in the fuse your lights will use. I used a 5. It goes in the slot by the red wire. Once done plug it back into fuse box.
 • Plug LED Lights Into Control Box - We are going to test your lights now. Plug both sets into the control box.
 • Connect Lights To Add-A-Fuse - Now what you want to do is take the red wire from the control box and place it inside the blue sleeve coming from the add-a-fuse. DO NOT CRIMP YET. Just make sure it sits in there. Turn your ignition to run again. Take the black ground wire and touch a piece of unpainted metal with it. There is a metal arm to the right of the fuse box that I used. Your lights should start blinking.
 • Disconnect Your Lights - Turn your car off and start disconnecting everything. We are going to start wiring them now.
 • Remove Center Console Side Pieces - You'll want to carefully pry the plastic bottom off from around your shifter. I have an automatic. They are clipped in and easy to remove. Just make sure you don't pull too hard and break a clip. Once the driver and passenger sides are off place them aside.
 • Place Lights Where You Want Them - Now you will want to unravel your lights and lay them where you are planning on placing them. Don't start sticking them to your dash just yet. String the cord from the passenger side light to the driver side. Try and keep the cable as far to the back as possible.
 • Feed Wires From Control Box Up To Fuse Box - Now this part is up to you but I keep my remote inside the fuse box so I can use it if I need to but its completely out of my way if I don't. Feed the wires and remote up through the back of the fuse box. Reach your hand under your dash and grab it through the fuse cover hole. Take your ground wire and strip it back some to give you a longer end. For this I chose to bend it into a hook and stick it through the hole on the metal arm I used to test it on. I then secured it with a simple strip of electrical tape. Plug your red wire back into the blue sleeve and test. If all is well go a head and crimp the blue sleeve.
 • Hide Wire And Place Lights - The rest is pretty simple. Find a good placement for your lights and use the included holders and sticky tape to place them. Tuck all your wire in the back of the center console and put your side covers back on.

Closing Comments:

This was a pretty beginner friendly install. To test and wire it took me probably 30 minutes. It will take you a little bit longer to find the perfect placement for your lights. Just be sure you follow the guide and you'll have some glow in no time. I will be uploading pictures and videos of the final install when I can. Its daylight right now so I am waiting until night to finish the placement. If you are unsure about something ASK! better sounding stupid than frying your car ;)

Here is a quick picture of the semi final product. I plan on doing the back seat and I'll probably play around with the placement of the front but its good enough for right now.

Also be advised the in the 3rd pic down those 2 pipes in the picture get extremely hot (I've burned my thumb on it once while routing speaker wire) so make sure the wire or box is not going to be in direct contact with it.

The ground isn't just taped, its actually hooked around the hole that is on there. I just used tape for added security.

I installed the led glow 4pc kit that reacts to music. One thing I would change in your build, when you put the wires through the center, those silver looking pipes get EXTREMELY hot, so I put the wires behind the insulation to protect them.

How about attach it with a screw or bolt so its done correctly? tape will loose its adhesion in the heat & you will end up with an intermittent ground. Wrapping a wire this way is only good for a temporary test, every time you hit a bump the wires will get looser.

This is the exact reason I stopped buying used cars, to many people do things the wrong way & cobble **** together.

Oh, well then that makes it much better!! ................................. -______-

These types of "write ups" shouldn't be in a "how-to" section, it will just breed bad installation practices.
