Yes you commute is plenty of time to have a successful DPF burn. If your DPF system is working properly and you don't take short trips 100% of the time, you shouldn't know it exists. The one way to tell is by your instant MPG indication on your DIC. You will notice a MPG hit from usual, especially coasting down a hill you may not get 99mpg's like usual.

I drive alot of shorter city stuff with 15 minute highway runs mixed in and I've never had that light and have only caught the car in a regen once when I turned it off and the fans continued to run right after I got it. I do take a long trip here and there but it's the exception, not the rule.

Your commute is long enough that you will likely never see the dpf warning come on. I did short trips for a week in temperatures below 0f. The engine never fully warmed up and I did close to 200 miles of all short trips and didn't get the warning. So you'd have to do only short trips for a long time before getting the keep driving warning.

If you keep an eye on the graph and your MPG per tank, when you regenerate you will notice an obvious drop in MPG. I drive 36 miles one way to work and have never seen any kind of notification but I have noticed the MPG drop during the cleaning process.
