Wondering if someone can help. I recently got a check service engine light and rolled into my local AutoZone. They ran a quick scan of the OBD codes. They told me there may be a problem with the injectors. I was going to remove the fuel rail, and they advised me to remove the fuses from the fuse box for the injectors to avoid popping the fuses. The car was running, and I removed the fuse for injector #s 2 & 4 (fuse position # 8) and noticed that nothing happened, when I removed the fuse for injector 1 & 3 which is fuse position #9, the car shut off. I checked the voltage across the fuses to see what the voltage read. When removing the fuse and checking the voltage for injectors 1 & 3 I got 10.92v which from what I understand is normal but got 0 volts across the fuse on injectors 2 & 4(fuse position # 8)? Does anyone know what may cause this or has anyone had this problem? Or is this normal?

I like your hypothesis, and it makes sense. The thing is, the fuse box specifically reads that fuse position # 8 is for injectors 2 & 4, and fuse position # 9 is for injectors 1 & 3. I'm going to read the voltages at the plugs today, and i'll post my findings. However, If injectors 2 and 4 are not flowing, I was wondering if anyone knew what that could possibly be?

I had what appeared to be no voltage at injectors 2 & 4, and it looks like that is normal at the fuse box. I'm almost positive there is actual 12volts at the injectors themselves, I'll be using a multi-m tomorrow to confirm. Thanks for the info guys. It really helped. I did a DTC scan today and got 9 codes returned. P1101, P0171, P0106, P0270(Low voltage injectors), and some others. Every thing is pointing towards replacing the valve cover plate that sits on top of the motor. I will replace the intake manifold also, the valve (orange rubber bulb looking thing) inside the manifold is completely worn out or stuck. Just as an FYI. None the less, thanks for the info/peace of mind.
