I have a new fascia (front bumper cover) and a new set of DEPO side-markers. I tentatively started to install them and it looks like there is a tab that would require a hole where there is none. Can anyone chime in and either post a picture of the opening on a factory fascia or tell me I just need to cut in a new hole as this aftermarket part is missing it?

Or just tell me I need to do something else.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm wrong. there is a slot. However, you might want to turn the bulb base around so the connector points in the same direction as the tab. That's the way I found my driver's side. It might get tricky to put in if it's pointing away from that tab.
I assume you mean the lamp holder? I had just pulled them out of the box from DEPO, made sure I had the correct one for that side and took the photo. I did notice after I figured the hole thing out - thanks to @anthonysmith93 - that one pointed in the other direction. I did try to rotate it 180ᵒ, but it only fits one way. The passenger side points to the rear of the vehicle and the drivers side points to the front.

1. This is a backside of fascia before opening the hole
2. I used a seal puller and a razor blade to create the opening
3. I first slowly poked through the flash and paint and moved up and down the slot after seeing it would not ruin the paint
4. I trimmed the flash away with a razor, test fitting along the way.
5. I installed the side-markers - they were a tight fit - It seemed as if I had to over trim the opening to fit, I was afraid I was going to break the tabs based on what I had read in other posts, but I think most of them were broken trying to insert them without the fascia removed.
6. This is a shot of the backside of an installed side-marker.

I was finally able to rebuild my front end and had an issue with my DEPO side markers. I could not install them and had to put the amber ones back in for now. The lamp holder is identical side to side which means the drivers side points to the front. @ChevyGuy suggested I turn it around, but as I said, it only goes in one way. Now I know why he said that. I cannot install it with it pointing in that direction. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what did you do to fix it? I am wondering if they make more than one type of lampholder and I got the wrong one. Any suggestions?

can you include a photo of the sidemarker and hole it needs to go in?
Did you look at the ones above? If so what photo is missing? The problem is on the drivers side. I could not install the lamp holder into the side marker after the fascia was installed. It would not fit because it points to the front while the factory one points to the rear..
