With my 2013 Cruze if I want to re-active OnStar, they have to upgrade it to the LTE or 4G network. This requires a physical piece of hardware that will cost about $400 with taxes. This is a requirement now in Canada.
Now for my question. I was having Bluetooth compatibility issues with iOS 10.1.1+. If I was to do this Onstar hardware upgrade would it also upgrade the Bluetooth compatibility as well? Apparently there has never been an update for MyLink since 2013, so that is not an option (at least in Canada).
So in short, does the OnStar hardware have anything to do with the bluetooth? I wondered after reading this article and this article.
Thanks for your help in advance!
