Hey! New here, just yesterday, purchased my new 2017 Cruze LT with, RS, Convenience, and Confidence packages. And I love it.
Traded in my 94 Lincoln Mark Viii, winter coming up, northern IL, and decided didn't want to fix all the problems and deal with it in the winter so I upgraded.

Now I'm a car guy, and before I just start tearing into this to learn stuff. What are some appearance mods people have done? Also, what size are the bulbs for the dome lights?

I'm sure at some point I will end up doing some performance mods, but need to decide how I feel like voiding my warranty, since I have a 10yr/150k mile bumper to bumper warranty on my Cruze.

Welcome to CRUZETALK. How was the price on the new car, we have had a couple owners of the 17 CRUZE paying below 14K brand new. That 'Warranty' had to be expensive covering 150 thousand miles, what is the name of the provider on the contract? Happy Motoring!

With the warranty, rim and tire coverage, key replacement, protection package, it came to just a tad over 15k.

Also, I figured out the map lights and front dome are 194 bulbs. Any one know if the rear dome is the same or different? Or if any has a link to a kit for swapping?

That's an amazing price for a RS!!

Best appearance mod I did was go to CarID.com and look through all their rims and tires as it totally changes the cars appearance. I got new rims and tires with TP sensors, balanced and filled with nitrogen for under 1k. I have not really seen to many body mods besides that. You could also rebadge the car with black emblems which is pretty easy to do and some what cheaper.

Yeah! I grabbed it up quick, BUT, tbh. It helped I sell them so I got discounts galore. Just sounds better when I leave that part out lol.

But yeah, I plan on doing new rims and tires, probably end up waiting till next summer now, but in the mean time swapping bowties and blacking out emblems. I have some black vinyl laying around, considering blacking out all the chrome. But really I feel like the chrome is subtle enough that I don't mind it.

True, I always feel it all depends on the car color. I have white so blacking out is a must lol

Welcome to the forums, appearance mods are still in the works. Gen 1 Cruze came out in 2009 overseas so they had a head start in mass producing stuff by the time the Cobalt was killed off here.
