Pulled the trigger yesterday afternoon at Curry Chevrolet in Scarsdale, NY. Treated very well by my salesperson, Gary Urban. The car is slate and has 16K on the odometer. Some specifics: Z-link susp.,
back-up camera, blind spot monitoring, sunroof, Pioneer audio, rear drum brakes (bummer). Surprising performance from the tc'd 1.4L, and the automatic shifts smoothly. The car definitely feels faster than the numbers suggest. Speed sensitive steering is rather numb but it is precise and the suspension strikes a fine balance between comfort and control. Was in serious negotiation for a 2012 Verano but it had some dings on the roof and a documented accident (apparently minor)
that ultimately turned me away. The car drove very well with the base 2.4L and the mileage was low but that yellow triangle on the Carfax was the sticking point and the car had no warranty. Also considered
the Regal w/e-assist but they are rare for some reason in my area and a bit too expensive (>21K). Was planning to make the trek to Carmax in CT to assess their stock of Kia Optimas but the Chevy's CPO status
and price prevented me. The only mod I plan is a tune and I may go with Vtuner (suggestions welcomed). This Cruze has excellent fit and finish by the way and feels as substantial as the 2013 Golf I drove recently.
