I have been browsing around trying to see how others have strapped there kayaks to there roof. I don't know if I want to drop $500 on a rail system so for now I just have the foam pads and straps. I'm about to throw mine on after work but wanted a little preview of how others have done it. Are there easily accessible spots to strap on the front and rear? I saw some pics of people hooking it to front of the hood rather than under bumper.

As for the Thule Rails, how do you like them? Easy on and off? Any scratching to body? Any door or door seal deformation? I may start a shoebox fund to get one.

The Thule rails work pretty well. I'll sell you mine for $150 + shipping from Denver. They're too narrow for my Volt.

The Gen 1 Cruze has rail "guide indents" so you know where to put them.

GM Part number 19329017. This is a Thule roof rack that was sold by Chevy for the Gen 1 Cruze.
