LTZ RS then! It might be the fact that I own 1 & love it though! ! !

Stay away from the VW TDI. When the HPFP (fuel pump) grenades... and it's not IF, it's WHEN...it'll cost thousands ($5000 US or more) to fix. I was fortunate enough to dump my VW TDI as a buyback before the HPFP blew up. Very happy with the Chevy diesel now.hey guys thanks for hosting this site.
as the title suggests i have had a curze before and loved it. it was a 2011 eco cruze and just bare bones at that it served its purpose and i had to trade it in for a truck that i still have and want to trade that for a much more economical car. That being said i have 2 cruzes and a Jetta TDI. The cruzes are an ECO and a Diesel. obviously this is going to be a commuter car as i also have to drive long distances. IVe been lurking in the fuel economy thread and reading that the ECOs have been keeping up to the diesels. The ECO i had was great on gas and reliability, only had to get regular maintenance done. Now more about the cars
2011 ECO: 12000$(CDN) 52k KM. 2 tone interior and the options dont show much from the dealership
2014 Diesel: 15000$(CDN) 123K KM, fully loaded, and love the remote starter on it.
if anyone wants to know
2011 Jetta TDI: 11000$(CDN) 167K KM, its a comfortline, so their base?
My problem being im having a hard time convincing myself to get the same car twice even though i had a great experience with my ECO and that extra 3k for the diesel isnt making it easier. Im looking for something more plush and sort of pamper myself after working 12hour days and would like something comfortable for the long drives after my work rotations are done.
Thoughts?
I was thinking the same thing: LTZ RS or maybe a 2LT. Both of these cars will more likely than not be loaded. I am now on my 3rd Cruze. First one being a LS bare bones with a 6M. 2nd was 2012 Eco 6M which I wanted because reading all about the 1.4 vs the 1.8 my LS had. For me the 6M Eco was a "misapplication" only bc I do 95% city driving with lots of hills. Now my 3rd Cruze is a 2014 LT with an auto transmission. As has often been said "3rd times a charm" This seems to be the best fit for me because of the amount of city driving I do. Every person is going to have their favorite and if you are truly looking for a "decked out" Cruze I would be looking towards the LTZ or 2LT and I don't think you can go wrong. After driving a manual for many years, I never thought an automatic would be a good fit for me but I am really enjoying the LT auto.LTZ RS then! It might be the fact that I own 1 & love it though! ! !

Diesel was its own model. It is basically a 2LT gasser (leather, 17" wheels, 4 wheel disc brakes, aero enhancements) with whatever options were chosen on that particular car. An Eco is basically a 1LT with aero enhancements and different gearbox (drum brakes, cloth seats, 17" lightweight wheels, no Z-link)I visited the dealerships website it says the diesel is a 1SL, but that should be LS? They also dont show a vin so i can go to a dealership and see how it was optioned out but its also got leather and seems to have the bells and whistles.
Is there an options list as to what 1LS, 2LS, 1LT (etc)?
Thanks for the rest of the insight. Now with you guys telling me that the ECO and Diesel are making the same numbers its going to be tougher. Then again it will come down to options and price.
Im stuck in a semi camp style job for another week so i have some time to read up on a bunch of things i.e. hypermilling and even if guys here have tuned their diesels for the same thing as some of you have done for the ECO.
Can you plug a USB stick filled with music into the slot in the console and control the songs from the MyLink system?
Thanks again!
