If you have records of the oil being changed (receipts and mileage), at least here in the US, they could not deny your warranty because the car was not serviced by a dealer.
 
Just having a look through my manual and it's show that the Oil Life Monitor is on diesels only?

Yeah, bearings sound shot.

Dexos-2 is a diesel oil. Gasoline cars should have Dexos-1.

OLM might not be on cars in your country. As I recall, some lower-trim Cruzes in other countries have a very basic dash display.

Is there a different dealer you could take it to? Again, having the oil changed outside of a dealer should not void warranty, as long as you have proof it was done.
