Lordstown Motors' (formerly the home of the Cruze) has announced their first vehicle.

100% battery electric
All Wheel Drive
Electric motors in each wheel
200+ mile EPA range estimate
6,000 lbs towing
Looks like a pickup as opposed to something out of Mad Max (Tesla Cybertruck).

Vehicle production is currently slated to start in late 2020.

I wonder if the motors are submersible?

The 6K tow capacity would handle most boats but can it launch them without shorting out, especially in salt water?

Should be sealed and fine. I expect the Rivian's will be, at least.

Those motors will need to be sealed to handle winter driving, so I'd be very surprised if they weren't submersible to a couple of meters.
