I was checking out under the hood last night to make sure all is well since I did the PCV fix and the coolant outlet/recovery tank house and flush last week.

I noticed that the clamp for the lower passenger side intercooler pipe is broke, but no leak.

Here is a pic you can see the rusty clamp in this picture I found on the forum to show what I am talking about.

Is this common? Any issue with using a normal hose clamp?

Interesting, I have not seen that before here on the forum. I know for coolant hoses and such screw clamps are generally avoided because they put uneven pressure around the hose, so spring clamps are preferred. Not sure about intercooler piping.
