I have never posted here before but I can say this car is totally CRAP! Nothing but problems since I've gotten it. I have no idea where it's leaking from its on my passenger side. It's a high mileage car because I use it for my work.. this leak came on suddenly. Can someone please help me. Thanks! The leak started like the bottom photo and is now like the top

Welcome to the forum.

Oil leaks are common on Cruze's. And almost a certainty on Cruzes that have been neglected during their lifetime.

The only way to find all the leaks is to jack the car up. Clean the mess up. Put oil dye in the oil. Start the car. And search black light.

IDK when you bought your Cruze but always do you research before purchasing a vehicle.

I bought the car 2 years ago from a car lot / finance company I have put quite a few miles on it. However the leak "seems" to be coming from possibly the valve pan cover I am just trying to make sure before buy the parts.

Welcome Aboard!

Clean the engine at least on the passenger side as that looks to be the worst. Run it for short periods and look for the leaks. Brake clean works reasonably well.

I will hazard a guess that some is from the CPASV seals, some is from the front crank seal and some may be in the turbo charge lines. You may need the PCV fix as well.

Are there any codes?

Thank you. Any advice for a novice mechanic would be appreciated. As my dad was showing me the basics in mechanics then passed away quickly. I do have some experience in auto repairs

I'm sorry that I don't remember. They guy at O'Reilly told me that it would indicate the catalytic converter needed replaced as well as the turbocharger. But my car would say maintenance stable trak. It had actually only went 10 miles per hour full throttle. But it hadn't done That in a very long time. I actually drove it to Texas from Ohio with no problems then seems everything is going wrong with it. Loss of power going up hill. Now oil leaks. I'm just at a loss as well as stuck in texas

Have it towed to a shop and have them diagnose and fix it.

If it still runs, take it to a big box store and have them read again. Generic information in equals generic information out.

Did you not save the receipt from O'Reilly's with the codes on it?

Unfortunately no I have not I have been staying in hotels

I've just purchased a 2012 Cruze SRI with leaking oil too..I understand your frustration. However to just say a car is 'crap', when you have just seen oil on the ground, and have not even begun to understand where it's coming from, is jumping the gun a little... All high -mileage cars eventually have issues Having said that, I hear you... If my oil issue isn't resolved.. I'm going straight back to the dealer. My car however has a good service history etc. Good luck

The sensor that us on black plastic tube on the right to the throttle body is bad and check fuse 47 under hood
