Been dumping a can of Seafoam in all of my vehicals in a full tank of gas every 5,000 miles. PCV is the culprit with fuel injectors sure leaves a mess on the surfaces affecting the fuel spray. Also a chain reaction, carbon builds up on the piston ring, even more blowby, carbon is already a 125 year old problem.
Nothing mentioned about the spark plugs, still clean them every 15K and replace them every 45 K miles with a walnut shell blaster. Again highly conductive carbon building up on that center electrode ceramic insulator, providing a direct short to ground.
Really no definitions on what top tier gas is, only use this stuff, but still has carbon in it, carbon is the problem.
