What plugs did you use?I have a p0300 with check engine light after I changed spark plugs due to 100000 miles on odometer. It started running rough after plug change so I changed all coils. Roughness went away buy I have the p0300. The strange thing is that my code reader won't clear the codes.
Yeah, the permanent one is a pain. You have to drive through so many 'cycles' for the car to see that the issue was fixed. There's three types on code, permanent, pending, and present. The later two one can clear with a obd2 reader... The first either has to be reset by the car, or with a real expensive obd2 reader
A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:So its not just not being able to clear. My code reader tells me that there are multiple codes, but it will not allow me to scroll through them . So, all I see is the first code which is a p0300. Has anyone ever heard of this? I put the ACD 41156 in it still the same issue.
That's a lot to check. What could be the best sequence when testing them?A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Faulty spark plugs or wires
Faulty coil (pack)
Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
Faulty fuel injector(s)
Burned exhaust valve
Faulty catalytic converter(s)
Stuck/blocked/leaking EGR valve / passages
Faulty camshaft position sensor
Defective computer

I use the Scan Gauge II and have it mounted on the dash.So after some time, I found that my obd2 reader that I've had for quite some time was bad. Turned out that after changing out the spark plugs and coils it just needed reset. Another code did pop up for the MAP sensor, so changed that and all is good. It's been about a week and a half and so far so good. So, what obd2 scanner is everyone using because I'm shopping around for one?
