Hey guys would appreciate if you can help me I swapped my cars engine it’s a 1.4 turbo holden cruze as I was bolting up the torque converter and the flex plate I found a gap more than a inch and i slide the torque converter a bit forward and then bolt it up with the torque converter and after every thing was done I drove it for a day and then all of a sudden I felt like it slipped the main shaft inside the torque converter and while put it in d it just make spinning sound and don’t move

I'm going by 1980's experience here, so bear with me... Did you rotate the torque converter until the two ears from the pump slid together and then bolt it to the engine or did you use the bolts for trans to bring the trans and engine together? The first way is a lot more work, but it doesn't trash the trans pump like the second way does.

Just found this..
