Hi, new to the site and to the Cruze. I'm finishing up paperwork tomorrow with the dealer on turning in my lease on my 2013 GMC Sierra for a used 2015 Cruze LTZ. Kind of needing the MPG's as my daily commute is about 70 miles round trip. Anyway, I figured I'd hop in here because I'm already wanting to do a few small things to it and want to see if anyone has any experience with some of the aftermarket parts I'm looking at.

The Cruze I'm buying has the black leather interior but the dash and door panel trim is that goofy mesh material. I found a site last night that sells a 28 piece trim set in carbon fiber for like $125, not sure how much work it is to replace all the dash trim and if anyone has used this particular company and can speak to how the quality is?

I guess I could mention that although I'm new to the Cruze, I have been around GM vehicles ever since I could drive. Still have my 1991 Z28, and have also had a variety of other GM vehicles (2006 Grand Prix, 2007 Cobalt SS/SC, 2009 G8 GT, 2000 Silverado, and the Sierra I'm leasing). Seems like the Cruze has a lot better build quality than the Cobalt and Grand Prix, just a little down on power though. I currently also have a 2014 KIA Optima 2.0T and that thing will run the pants off the 1.4T. But it also only gets about 28-30mpg mixed. :)

Welcome to the forum! Love those wheels, in fact the whole car looks great! You'll certainly get a lot better mileage with the Cruze over the Sierra. I too am a GM man through and through as much of my family has worked for various GM divisions. All of my cars have been GM products, and if GM made motorcycles, I'd buy those too probably. A friend of mine has the Optima 2.0T and it is quite brisk, but the Cruze isn't really in the same class, it will however keep up with the Forte. You'd have to put the Optima up against the Malibu 2.0T or the Verano 2.0T for a fair fight. :) Enjoy the new ride!

Yea I agree the Optima is not in the same class but when you go from driving it to driving the Cruze it's hard not to compare them even though it's apples to oranges. :) Either way I'm happy with it, my only gripe is the lack of storage space, like cubbies to hold your phone and such.

Welcome to CruzeTalk. Your comment about lack of driver accessible storage is also my major complaint.

Welcome and congrats on your Cruze purchase!!! I'm loving my recently purchased Cruze more and more each day.

Also been a long time Chevy guy since the time I could say the word "Chevy".

Any photos to share of your '91 Z/28? Always liked the later 3rd gen Z/28 over my '88 Iroc-Z that I used to own.

Welcome to Cruze Talk, love the fact you haven't even picked the car up and you have plans already !! Good luck, the people on here are very knowledgeable and that's coming from a GM tech of 14 years.

Welcome to CT. Yeah as others noted the 1.4t is not really able to keep up with 2.0t cars. Even my 320i (180 hp 2.0t) is about 2 secs quicker to 60 then what my ECO could do. Granted, BMW hp is rated at the wheels.

Just bought a 2016 Cruze Limited - blue ray metallic. So far am loving this car. Previous car was a nightmare with the DCT transmission and multiple clutch replacements.

When will you miss your Seirra? I have a 13 and it get 17 L/100km. My wife drives it more than I do, a whole 14 Km's a day. It is my 45 thousand dollar toy hauling hobby supporting toolbox.
