new engine woes

Hello all new here, so I have a 13 Cruze that had a destroyed engine and manual tranny that someone pulled behind a Rv while in first gear. Anyhow so I installed the new used engine and transmission and switched most items from the old engine that were still good. Now the car turns over but no start using the scanner all sensors are working, seems to be getting spark and everything is working but still a no start. any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Lance

Are you sure the engine ran previously? There are 2 things that start an engine fuel and spark! Are you getting fuel and how is the timing.

If you're getting spark, then that suggests you're almost there. The ECM is seeing enough sensors to make an attempt at running.

I'd start by looking at the fuel pressure and checking to see if the injectors are firing. While you're at it make sure you have fuel and not bad gas.

OK Timing per the /////scanner is 2.0, no misfires per the misfire info, fuel pump comes on with pressure. now there is a engine calibration that is not on and not programmed, that could be it?? let me see if I can figure out how to calibrate the engine. Unless anyone knows
I'm pretty sure the "misfire" indication is based on the flywheel rotation and is irrelevant unless the engine is running. It designed to detect when a cylinder fails to fire - the flywheel fails to speed up at that spot.

I know with the 1.4L there were different MAP sensors in the intake manifold used between different years. You could put a newer 1.4L in an early 2011, 2012 car, but you had to swap the sensors on the intake.

Not sure about the 1.8L. How's the belt and timing of the "new engine?"

I'm guessing something isn't fully seated in terms of an electrical connector. No codes at all?

ok again, Injectors ok checked with a noid light and a injector inspector. no spark changed the coil pac and it fired up, died 2 min later another coil pac and it's alive and running, my boss is so happy. thanks all for basically telling to go back to the basics and figure it out.

Usually the most obvious things are the things overlooked! So from us being outsiders looking in we didn't know if all the bases have been covered and didn't know of anything else it could be. So Glad we could help!! Anytime
Holy (insert special word here)!!!

That engine is (insert other special word)!!!
