Hi, been lurking for a while. 16 cruze limited (1st gen) 6mt

I installed BKR8EIX plugs and in 30-50 Thousand kilometers my car got a bad misfire under load. Dealer swapped ignition coil. It ran better but still had a misfire under load. I pulled the plugs and had 3 ngk plugs and one ac delco. Looks like the dealer swapped a plug and didn’t record it. The ngk plug gap is now .045+. I put the stock plugs back in and don’t have any issues anymore. My question is “What the heck happened!)? Are these NGKs worn out with less than 50k?

Gap's too big. We try to point out that the BKR series plugs may run better, but need more frequent maintenance due to the different ground strap material (platinum on stock plugs vs nickel on these - it erodes more quickly).

The plug looks in decent shape, but the gap needs to be closed to 0.028". I'd then replace them after the next time it happens.
