New Model Out?

Just wondering where the 2018s start hitting the lots.

We are looking for a really good deal on a 2017 cruze, and we are trying to time it so the 2017s are at their lowest price. Should we wait a little longer, or are the 2018s already on the lots in enough numbers to affect the price?

As far as I know, the 2018s are not on the lots yet.
@EricSmit
There are no 2018's on the lots yet. Ordering opened on June 1st, and you won't see them for 2 months after that.

Would you guys think it would be worth waiting a couple of months-or is the glut of inventory large enough that the normal "model year closeout" discount may not be worth it this time?

There are going to be some big discounts ahead, didn't we just see the 25% Tag sale off all 2017 models in stock, could have been 20%. Look for the big Independence Day event in the coming weeks!

20% on certain models; the Cruze won't likely be part of that. We have, again, sold out of Cruze LT sedans.

OP, you should realistically just go buy now. The deals aren't going to get crazy until next year for the 2017 models.

Or late fall. I got my 2016 in November last year when the 2017's had hit in full force - it was the last 2017 on the lot. If you want any special options packages, colors, etc, you may end up with something you didn't want if you wait too long.

If they do any kind of July 4th sale, that would probably be a good time to start looking for a couple grand off of one with incentives. Beyond that, Labor Day would be another good time to find one.
