Does it sound like this? The rapid fart noise :fart:
New Noise for me and my LS
A New noise started three days ago. if only happens when the A/C is on . And when I am launchings car from idle and sometimes when additional throttle is applied at low speed. As soon as I’ve got some short revs its gone. I've never heard this particular sound before and I've been working (playing) on cars since I was 13. So coming off a light or backing in or pulling out of a parking space it sounds like ****.
At first it sounded like someone rapid firing farts at a high pitch. But now it sounds more similar to detonation or dieseling; only when the A/C is on and mostly when launching the car. The sound is coming from the serpentine belt area of the engine.
And the A/C seems to be fine
