I know the manual says it will list on ly 10,000 mp3 files, I am well below that (not even tat 2000)

I have my songs (for the most part) in a folder named after the artist - album. I have one album where only 1 of the 12 songs are being displayed. I can verify that the files are in the folder (using a computer) and the bitrate is 128.

I am not sure why these files are not showing up in this folder. It may be other folders, but I was just looking for songs in this particular one. I have used windows to take off all attributes as archive was checked, but that did not make a difference.

rigth I believe it reads the tags or ID3 of the file, I just had in the folder for easy viewing when accessing the usb drive on the computer. I did have all the files on the root of the drive (no folders) and that was just a mess. Didnt make a diffence though in regards to this issue.

Thanks Rob
Thats something I thought of also. I went to the folder and scrolled through (which is a pain in the neck) and went right the folder and did not see the songs still.

On a side note, Its been hit or miss for me to scroll through the list of artist/song/albums... and then I will be given a chance to scroll through letter by letter instead of item by item, but like i said its hit or miss, its like I need to to do it really fast in order for me to get that option, is there a shortcut some where to ALWAYS start scrolling by letter?

Problem was with the tags of the songs. I cleared and manually tagged the songs and the songs now showed up. I then found an awesome tool called Mp3Tag and that goes out and automatically tags songs against amazon and other websites. Very cool tool.

based on my recent test, the Cruze is only as good as your tags, no matter how you have your files/folders structured.
