I kinda remember this in the Fb group, I just suck at matching up faces to usernames. 13 Impala is what I was originally up for but they sold out and was fully stocked with $30k-$45K new gen ones.
Hey Merc6 I did post about it on the FB group after it happened. The reason I never posted in the CT forum was that I had password problems logging in here and finally resolved them this morning.I kinda remember this in the Fb group, I just suck at matching up faces to usernames. 13 Impala is what I was originally up for but they sold out and was fully stocked with $30k-$45K new gen ones.
Yeah this weekend was one of the worst ones. Hopefully they get it working more like the other AG forums where it's not NSA proof.Hey Merc6 I did post about it on the FB group after it happened. The old 3.5L one I had as a rental would do 30 hwy pretty easily. Had a lot of torque, but otherwise a meh powertrain compared to the 300 HP 3.6.As much as I like this Impala the fuel mileage sucks. I have never gotten over 25 miles per gallon as opposed to the Cruze Eco which typically I got between 46 and 47 miles to the gallon regularly. I knew this going into it when I bought it so I suppose I shouldn't complain.
Let me tell you this 3.6L direct injection engine has it's little quirks. I'm not fond of the pcv system gases being burned off through the throttle body. Over time small amounts of oil have a tendency to pool up in the intake hose and also pollute the intake manifold. For this I tapped in a oil catch can. The tops of the valves getting all coked up is unavoidable but by that time it's too severe and causes engine problems I would have gotten rid of the car anyway and been on to my next car.The old 3.5L one I had as a rental would do 30 hwy pretty easily. 1st gear shifted at 60 mph flat to the floor!
Thank you so much! I had my seatbelt on and my Cruze did its job and protected me from any harm. For that I am greatful!Fred, So glad you were OK and that your Cruze protected you through the wreck.
The right front wheel was pushed all the way into the firewall which was bent as well as the A-pillar being bent as well. What's not pictured is the damage sustained on the driver's side of the car from it being sideswiped by two other cars that couldn't stop before they hit it.So it was totaled just from that fender damage??
