I sold my 2011 Cruze ECO Manual, so I will no longer be adding to this forum. Although the engine had the usual 1.4L issues - water pump/coolant leak, failed PCV in the valve cover, and the trunk open switch failed a few times, it was a fantastic car on fuel economy, with very high MPG. I put a lot of miles on this car, the most of any vehicle I ever owned. Too bad there was not enough downforce on the front end, when I needed it mostly in the snow. But that high MPG, what a dream – easily beat the 42 MPG Highway Government Rating. I never figured my Actual MPG tank to tank, it was always after 1,800 -2,100 mile runs, & then I would reset the trip computer.
All figures are Actual, not the DIC:
Overall 43.70 MPG
Cost per Mile $.063 (that’s just a little over 6 cents)
Best MPG Run 48.06 MPG 1,915 miles August 2013
2[SUP]nd[/SUP] Best MPG Run 48.05 MPG 1,970 miles July 2013
3[SUP]rd[/SUP] Best MPG Run 48.04 MPG 1,850 miles Sept. 2013
Lowest MPG Run 37.99 MPG 1,917 miles January 2014

Hey thanks for the post! This is the first car I've owned that exceeded the posted mpg from the sticker. Ironically this is my first new Car that has only been driven 21,000 miles in 5+ years:grim:
