I recently purchased a 2013 Cruze 2Lt and noticed the coolant was a little low but didn’t move at all on my hour and a half drive home. I topped the coolant off and it still doesn’t seem like it has moved much if at all but I still get the smell inside but it only seems to happen at stops. What could cause a issue like this? I also have a valve cover leak which I believe is caused by the faulty Pcv system and my car has just over 95,000 miles.

No I’m talking about the level In the recovery tank. I was thinking it might be the tank since the cap spins off easily and there doesn’t seem to be much holding it on. Would the water pump leaking cause me to smell it inside the car? I was thinking of replacing the coolant tank first with one of the dorman 603-383 and see if that solves my issue. Is there anything I would need to know about installing this?

I changed the recovery tank that had a leak at the bottom and I still have a Oder in the car. I do have a leaking valve cover and there’s a little smoke from the oil burning on the exhaust manifold. I have a new valve cover and gasket I bought on eBay coming and the v3 pcv fix kit I’m going to install from cruze kits. I believe the smell might be the oil burning I’m smelling but I’m not positive. Is it possible for the outside vent to suck in the oil burning into the car?
