O.k. I'm ready to change the oil, the cruze is got 2000 km ( 1600 miles ). I know it's pre-mature, but I always remove factory oil within 2000 km, and go with the OLM after that, using synthetic oil. The problem I'm facing is, I can't find new stock of mobil1 with the dexos approved label on. I do see Castrol, Pennzoil and Quaker State with the gf-5, sn spec. on the label. I also read that dexos meets the gf-5, sn specs. but gf-5, sn are not up to par with dexos. So my question is, when mobil1 was approved for dexos, did the oil already meet dexo? Or did mobil1 have to re-formulate?
