A Cruze LT would have the 1.4L turbo engine. (Sonic, Buick Encore, Chevrolet Trax). 1.8 was only in US LS trims.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure where I got got LT from. I just checked the car, and is is an LS with the 1.8 engine. I was reading that it's possible to swap the 1.8 into an 09 or newer Aveo, but can't find anyone that has actually done it.

It's in the same family as the 1.6 - very close.

But then you'd still be driving an Aveo, with slightly more, but still not much power.

On the other hand, most Sonics are 1.8L. Rare for the engines to blow up, but you might find someone that wants one.
