Overheating Issue 2016 Cruze - Please help!

Been looking at a possible diagnosis and I’ve seen everything from thermostat, to water pump, to head gasket etc. I’ll provide as many details as possible. My Cruze is the 2016 LT 1.4 turbo. 93k miles. Had the dreaded turbo failure back in February. Everything was fine until a month ago. Started noticing I was loosing coolant, refilled and I was good for a week. Engine started to overheat, pulled over popped the hood and reservoir was empty. Saw a little bit of coolant pooled up under the hoses, filled back up and drove the rest of my 5 minutes home. I had lost my job until recently so no real driving but noticed if AC was on coolant would leak faster. Had a cold snap around Thanksgiving got home and noticed steam pouring out of car after 15 minute drive. Popped hood and found it coming from a crack in the water outlet connector flange. Ordered the part and replaced. No more leaks and with a handful of short drives noticed no issues. Drove a little further today, maybe around 100 miles. Car starts overheating, pull over pop the hood and coolant levels are exactly where they should be. I see no more leaks but still overheating. Let my car cool down put heat on full blast and I was fine for the 15 mile drive back home. I even noticed with the heat on the temp would drop just a little lower than normal. Check engine codes only read related to turbo, but that was just replaced and I’ve noticed no problems there? Really scratching my head here.

I’m no expert but I think the leak quite obviously was my main problem - only seemed to start getting hot once I got low. Your suggestion makes sense. It would seem odd that I’ve suddenly developed another problem unless I damaged something with it overheating twice but I was quick to cut the heat on and pull over and turn the engine off both times. With the leak fixed is now where I’m seeing more frequent fluctuation in the temp. Or at least that’s what I saw today with the longer drive.

Any steam out the tailpipe? Exhaust smell sweet? If not, you’re probably ok head gasket wise.

Definitely haven’t noticed any steam out of the tailpipe but I’ll pay more attention to the exhaust the next time I use it.
It’s kinda disappointing, she’s been a very solid car until earlier this year. Now all of a sudden several issues. The passenger side window just came off the track and/or broke just a couple weeks ago as well. One thing after the other it seems lol.
Yeah, the window regulators have plastic clips, easy afternoon job, just order the regulator track deal and swap the motor over.
