I blew a hose and changed that and the exhaust valve the one to the coolant hose into the radiator. Well I refilled. I bled the line and rebled the line and when I idle I stay a tick below half. When I drive it flirts with a tick above half then hits 3/4 then overheats. I let sit and idle and I bleed again start it and it all repeats. Any ideas welcome.

The bleeder valve the plastic one in the radiator. But the second time I think car was too hot because when I pulled the valve it shot out fluid

Ok. I have one ordered. I assumed that both hoses being hot meant it was opening. But I think your right it has to be that thermostat.
