Recently got a CEL. Code P2076.
All of my interweb searches point to either MAF or TB Assembly. I called Dealer and they said neither would be covered under the powertrain warranty. Of course, he'd be glad to run diagnostics for $100. :$#angry:
So here the conundrum. Pay the dealer to "diagnose" the issue an then toss another $160 to replace the TB assembly and then possibly another $70 for the MAF? Those are my prices, not the dealer. Or just bite the bullet and replace them myself and pray that solves the problem?
has anyone had an issue with this code? I don't experience anything weird with the car and it's operation. I have reset the code and it has come back. Are their any other things I can do? I did clean the MAF, TB intake and seafoam'd the intake as well. Anything else?
i can't for the life of me figure out how the INTAKE CONTROLLER of an engine ISNT considered part of the "powertrain." Must be that GM voodoo logic. Lol
