Anyone who had this failure on that engine was covered under powertrain, so the dealer did the repair.

Haven't seen any vids yet.

Are you beyond 100k miles?

I'll answer for the OP.

The 1.8's have a air valve built into the manifold....Might be called a 'Air Charge Valve' or something along those lines.
The purpose is to increase airspeed as it enters the intake ports in an attempt to enhance low speed torque and reduce low speed emissions.

A few members have reported a failure (sets a code).
