I bought my 2012 Cruze Eco brand new. It currently has <50k miles. Within the past couple of months, I have started noticing paint issues on the front bumper (please see attached pictures). I don't know where these are coming from. They were not caused by stones or an accident of any kind. It appears that the clear coat is bubbling and then the paint is coming off. Has anyone else had this issue? Are there any known defects/recalls/service bulletins that I should be aware of. I want to take it to the dealership, but would like to know if there are any known issues. I have a feeling they will try to pin this on me, but I plan on following through with this until it is repaired. I should not be having this issue on a car that I know has not been in an accident and bought brand new.

I took it in today and the service manager looked at it. He said the representative who gives final approval/denial is the next step. I think there is a good chance they fix it. I think he wanted to look at it to make sure it wasn't normal wear and tear (rock chips, ect). I don't think the representative would even look at it if that's the case. Fingers crossed they just take care of it and I won't need to try and escalate the matter.
