My 2014 Chevy Diesel engine light came on again. This is the third time. Each time it was a sensor. This time its the PCV sensor so that is what the advisor told me at AutoNation Chevy Airport in Orlando. They have had the car now going on 3 weeks. They are telling me the part is on back order, only problem is they are not telling me when they think it will come in. I am not liking the fact that they are not telling me what going on. I am now getting upset. How hard is it to keep sensors in stock? Can you please help me and tell me what you know when the **** part will come in. This is the third time since I bought the car that the engine light has come on and they dealer had to replace a sensor. Not at good feeling to have on a new car. I want my car back asap. Is this falling under the lemon law? I had to have the MyLink radio replaced, Locks replaced, and sensors replaced. LEMON LAW HERE?

Your dealer must contact Chevrolet Technical Assistance to get the part released.....otherwise, it'll sit on back order forever.

This is how G.M. is able to document component failures on the diesel........your dealer, for whatever reason, seems to be unaware of this policy.

Your incident is a new one among the Diesel members of the forum. We have had a few O2 sensors, NOX sensors, DPF/DEF issues, but nothing PCV-related so far (on a Diesel, that is - the 1.4L engines have had common PCV issues). The reason for the wait on parts is probably the same as the other parts we have seen, though - a mix of GM restriction and only a small number (a few thousand) of the vehicles being on the road causing the supply of available parts to be correspondingly low.

Seriously Eddy, did you happen to think that maybe autocorrect changed it that way?

So new member let me give you the warmer CruzeTalk welcome you deserve and the empathy your due given the circumstances.

To the best of our knowledge the sensor thing is an issue at the supplier level to GM. This is likely why few are in parts distribution as GM is prolly doing heavy duty QA on any that are comming into the system.

GM should be giving you a loaner while yours is laid up. If not then please let us know.

Paudarco, Is your car sitting at the dealership? If so have they complied with the GM warranty to put you into a loaner or rental at their (actually GM's) expense?

No I didn't and it was in the body of the post as well. I have never had the 'Auto Correct' rearrange my letters or words? I get a red line provided by Microsoft/ IE if a word is spelled incorrectly. I do however enjoy the Auto Saved feature which works great.

Hi Paudarco,

You should've received a rental while your vehicle is being kept for service, however, we definitely recognize this has been a frustrating situation. If you'd like for us to document this matter within our system we'd be happy to do so and follow up with your dealership if necessary. If interested, please PM us your VIN and contact information.

Thank you
