Anyone have experience with both of these items to provide some pro's and con's? I am thinking about doing a black plasti dip on the bowties, or a carbon fiber ink job. Im just curious about how wel each item holds up to the elements.

On another note, I want to match the color of my engine cover to the color of my car. Best way to do that?

I plasti dipped my front and back bowties about 6 months ago. No damage to them from washing or road debris. I did about 5 coats. The can is only like $5 at Lowes and is plenty to do the bowties and badges if you want.

As for the engine cover, I can only suggest using the spray paint that's designed to stick to plastic... but I don't know how it'll hold up to the heat.

I plan to PlastiDip the bowties. I did the steelies on my Cobalt way back in Fall of 2011 - still looks great. I drove through two winters on them - salt, snow, ice, everything, and they still hold up great.

I did the front grill on my brother's Buick Century too and it's held up well.
