Please welcome OnlyTaurus, our newest moderator! Ryan has been a member of this community for some time now, and was recently promoted to moderator status. He represented CruzeTalk well at the LordsTown plant during our visit there in August, and has been a great asset to this community, providing a wealth of technical knowledge and automotive experience.

He will be helping the moderator staff keep this forum tidy, peaceful, and growing as it has been. In essence, he'll be mopping our floors, giving out free hugs, cracking his whip when necessary, and making people feel welcome.

He's also Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise!

I'm happy to announce that I've been given the opportunity to be the newest Moderator on this forum. That being said, I wanted to inform anyone interested a little bit about myself, so you can still see me as a member/friend rather than an authority figure.

My name is Ryan. I'm 26, reaching 27 come April 21st. I live in Western PA in a little city called Ellwood City. I have a wifey, her name is Echo, and we've both been blessed with our 9 month old daughter Riley.

I'm currently employed at Nick Crivelli Chevrolet in Beaver, PA, as an Automotive Technician for GM. I graduated GM school in Pittsburgh at the top of my class, and also received a 'Leadership Award' from GM. I only have 2 years of professional experience under my belt, but I don't think there is a 'job' I have yet to do. I'm accelerating very well at what I do, and many are recognizing that.

However, many of you may have seen the thread about me going back to school. I still plan on it. Starting October 15th, I will be studying to be a Computer Forensics/Network Security Specialist on the Pittsbugh Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, PA. My intention after graduation is to either work for the FBI in Pittsburgh, if not out of town, or after hearing GM plans to hire many IT grads in the next 5 years, I may go that route.

My hobbies are simple. Obviously, I enjoy cars. I enjoy learning everything there is to know about how they perform and function. I'm all for modifying vehicles.... legally.

I also am a pretty big gamer, I have an Xbox360, and try to be on it almost everyday(sad.. lol). I'm currently into Borderlands, as the second one is close to release, but I enjoy the RPGs, FPSs, and Racing games.

I also enjoying firearms. I currently own a Walther PK380 as my concealed carry(GREAT pistol, I've shot an 8 inch spread at 25 yds, not too shabby). I also own a GSG-5 .22 Long Rifle, and a Russian Mosin Nagant(fully synthetic). All three are fantastic weapons.

That's what I can come up with from the top of my head at the moment, but if you guys have an questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask! My goal as Moderator is to help ensure this Forum is well maintained, arrogance left behind, and that every member current and coming can remain friendly and knowledgable with one another.

Thanks again to the Admins and other Mods for this exciting opportunity!

Congratulations sir. Well deserved.

As a moderator on another site, I can say that you do get thanks every now and then, but most of the tasks are just cleaning up spam, trying to find ways to combat spam, and yelling at people for being mean to other people. And probably for you guys at this site, dealing with the trolls :D

But hey, now you can be all like

Congrats OT, you have my sympathy....

Having been a moderator on a few boards in that past, I can agree that it is a thankless job that not everyone can do. In the short time I've been a member, there're a couple usernames that stand out. IMO XR and OT will both be great mods.

Congrats and I can only see this forum getting better and better with you and XR at the helm. Xtreme already started his admin well by inviting members to become part of the Star Trek gang. I only wish I had more to contribute to the community as I am old enough to be most you guy's fathers. I am a computer techy that worked on cars since I was a teenager. But I have one of my own(15yr old in high school) that keeps me busy! You're gonna do a great job and keep things moving along.

That'd be sweet dude!

I'm looking to eventually get a .556 Tac Rifle, and a nice red-dot or holographic to mount up top. The prices for those are a little scary though, I've been trying to keep alittle each week aside to go shopping for one over the winter.

I was also looking into a G36C or a Galil(47 variant), I admire both of those greatly.

Yeah I've been doin the same- saving up-- lol
Never needed to buy one while I was in ( shot every gun the marine corps had to offer :) besides the sniper rifles) but now that I'm no longer active (reservist) I miss shooting a lot :/ all I have now is my single shot bolt action .22 from when I was a kid. Sears brand hahaha

Congratulations to Ryan! Also to Andrei, since I don't think he had an official congrats thread (unless I missed it).
Thanks man. I guess the admins were too busy to make me a thread, lol. I did create one though...sort of. Go to the off topic section and find the "my first order of business" thread.

All the input you have had on this forum, I always thought you were an admin or moderator. I am glad they are finally recognizing your contributions. I have always enjoyed reading what you have to say and wondered how you got so knowledgeable and you are so good with getting people together. Hope you and Taurus enjoy your new positions

My heartfelt "Congratulating Condolences" to you, ie: the good(+), the bad(-) and the ugly("...you'll recognize them by their colors...")!!!
