The ECO is not noisy on the highway, in fact I was surprised how quite it is. As far as handling - the ECO is not a poor handling car. It is light and more tossable than a 2 LT however the rear axle is not as well planted in bumpy curves as a 2LT. If you are mostly Highway - that is where the ECO 6MT really shines and gets some amazing MPGs.
