I'm likely buying a 2014 in the next week or so. I'm trying to decide between an Eco 6mt and 2lt 6mt. What I'm looking for is:

1. what is the real 0-60 difference? I know the ECO is quicker but is it really that much? I know these are turbos for speed but I'm wondering
2. How much of a real difference is the lack of sound deadening in the ECO? I'm aware some of the soundproofing is off the ECO for weight and was wondering if the noise (esp on the freeway) is really noticeable.
3. is the lack of z-link really make the ECO handle poorly? Again, I'm not confusing these cars with GTIs.

I'm torn because I like the look/sport suspension of the 2lt but the quickness/efficiency of the ECO. Fyi, I drive 75 mi a day, mostly freeway/2ndary roads. There are a few stops towards the end for me to have a little launch fun.
Go with the ECO MT or the CDT (automatic). The ECO MT has a dual personality. Keep the engine speed below 2000 RPM and watch the gas companies cry for lost revenue. Above 2000 RPM and you can have fun in the corners and straights. None of the gas Cruzen are particularly quick from a stop. As for soundproofing there is more than enough in the ECO MT. Your daily drive will make the extra fuel economy of the ECO MT or the CDT well worth it. Our turbos aren't for speed - they're designed to take a very small displacement engine (83 cubic inches) and give them a significant boost in power for mid range acceleration and cruizing efficiency.

The gearing on the ECO MT is different from just about any other car currently or previously on the road. As such, it takes some getting used to but once you get it you'll discover that the benefits on the highway are enormous.

I'm so grateful to have found this site. Much more info than I even expected. Thanks.

Two more questions: Has anyone added suspension upgrades to the Eco? I'm guessing it would shore up the handling without adding a ton of weight. Also, how long do the Eco tires last? I'm wondering if they wear out quick.
Depends on how fast you reach 60,000 miles. The Goodyears on the ECO and CDT are treadwear warranted for 60,000 miles.
