Hey guys,
I found mold in the trunk liner of my Cruze in the last week. It's a gen2 2017 premier RS.
Is this definitely a water leak? I think there was a TSB for water leaking through the break light housing for the 2016s. Others in the following thread mentioned the RS spoiler is drilled into the trunk, and this could be the point of a bad seal. I thought it was glued? https://www.cruzetalk.com/forum/369...4434-lemon-cruze-gen-2-water-leaks-trunk.html. I haven't actually seen water in the trunk, just the mold.
I had a service appointment today, but they left a message to call and reschedule. Any recommendations for dealing with the mold? If I can fix the liner to look like 80% as good as it used to, I would be happy enough to not replace it. I haven't taken the liner off yet to look under. I didn't want to mess with it before the dealer took a look, if it is leaking water.
