I started having battery problems from a 7 month old Walmart/Johnson Controls battery with a 5 year warranty and had to jump it a couple of times. Upon starting it last night I no longer had power steering. Can someone suggest where to start?

Try again. I've seen this issue before and it always seemed to 'magically' fix itself.

You can also try leaving the battery unplugged for a little bit ( use a good battery).

I started having intermittent PS along with other symptoms.

Replaced the Negative battery cable, no issues for a couple thousand miles now. Try that if you haven’t already.

If you do take it in to a GM dealer, Specifically have them check your VIN for Special coverage #14311, the negative battery cable problem, it would be covered as a warranty issue.
