...here's a side-by-side summary comparison of the R&T Eco M6 and C&D LTZ A6 tests:

ROAD & TRACK Eco May-2011.....CAR & DRIVER LTZ Jan-2011
• 0-60 MPH........8.1 sec.....0-60 MPH........8.9 sec
• 0-¼ MILE.......16.2 sec.....0-¼ MILE.......17.0 sec
• 0-¼ MILE.......86.8 mph.....0-¼ MILE.......82.0 mph
• Top Speed.......130 mph(*)..Top Speed.......124 mph(**)
• Skidpad........0.84 G.......Skidpad........0.85 G
• Slalom.........67.3 mph.....Slalom............N/A
• Curb Weight....3050 lbs.....Curb Weight....3206 lbs
• Milage.........37.7 mpg.....Milage.........25.0 mpg

.(*) = electronically limited
(**) = drag limited

...notice the "Skidpad" numbers: Eco without Z-link at 0.84 G versus LTZ with Z-link at 0.85 G -- that sorta says the Z-link isn't the major contributor to the Cruze's overall excellent handling!

blah, all of these numbers, and I still don't truly know what the ECO 0-60 time is.
...a stopwatch and a 'spirited' test drive of an Eco from your local dealership could answer your question. Maybe a "flat" on-ramp onto a local highway?
