radio questions

Hi everyone, I put about 5 folders of about 300 songs on a usb for my 2013 cruze LT touchscreen. well after a few days of listening to the music I noticed that it started playing the songs twice in a folder I listen to the most. I checked the file content on the radio and it shows the songs doubled but when I check the file on my laptop the songs are not doubled.
any thoughts or ideas why this would happen? I'm going to delete the folder and reinstall it and see what happens.

ok second question- since my radio does not have the navigation I use my phone, the problem is I can not hear the turn by turn directions that is spoken from google maps so that I wont get caught using my phone while driving. what would be nice if I could share my phone screen with my radio. I have the samsung note 4.

I have a car mount for my phone so I can see the navigation screen. My turn by turn comes through the A2DP Bluetooth. HTC One M9 and prior to that Casio GZone C771 Commando.

What files are in the folder? Anything besides the actual MP3/M4A? You might want to make sure you've got your laptop set to show hidden files.

Recent updates from Google Maps fixes this problem, which I used to complain about all the time! Check your "Navigation Settings" and there's an option there called "Play as Bluetooth phone call". Basically it tricks the phone/radio into thinking the instructions are ringtones from an incoming call and it will interrupt your radio now. It's a hack, but it's really useful!

the only thing on the flash drive is music, I did check for hidden files but there was none

I looked for that setting and it is checked but no sound unless I have the channel set to bluetooth, so then I'm stuck not listening to xm or radio while I am getting directions
Why not use your phone to listen to music then? :) pretty sure if you have a Bluetooth channel you can listen to your phone via bluetooth. Get yourself a microusb card and play the music.

Or Spotify, Google Music etc
When I'm streaming Pandora over Bluetooth, voice commands from google maps / navi will interrupt the music stream, and play over the speakers. Granted I'm not running the factory stereo, but it shouldn't matter since your phone is in control of the audio stream. This is on a Moto G running Android 5.1...might not work like that on very old versions of Android. I use this pretty regularly at night since I use my vehicle for a side job as a delivery driver, and find it to be very accurate navigation without even using the screen.
