Personally in my cruze I connect with my two latch hooks on the rear facing section of the seat into the latch points between the cushions. If you don't know where I am talking about look under the small plastic symbols on the lower part of the seat back. The one that connects to the forward end of the car I don't use and don't feel it's needed there since the car seat is very firm in place with the latches and a seat belt going through.
