Rear Seat cup holders?

Hey guys,

I just picked up my '11 ECO and it doesn't have cup holders in the rear seat. I test drove an LT and an Auto ECO and i thought they both had them. When this 6-speed showed up on the lot, they are missing! This isn't good with my two boys sitting in the back on the long haul trips. Any sugestions other than autozone universal cup holders on the floor?

The manual '11 Eco is the only 2011 model without the rear cup holders or the rear center head rest... sorry, dude!

There might be water bottle holders in the doors... I know there are in the front doors but I can't remember if the back doors have them or not.
an option for you would be to see if you could trade out your seat backs (that would contain the armrest/cupholder) with someone who has taken theirs out for a sub box. see forum link below.

not me.
Haha, I was thinking the same thing about the audio guy
i don't care about the head rests, the boys aren't tall enough yet. but they are old enough to spill their drinks because there are not cupholders....

I was hoping i could find one in a scrapyard already with the black interior and just snag the seat back.

It's a bummer that the '11 6 speed is so uniuque, i guess it must save half a pound.

Kinda stinks that your model doesn't have them. I guess it was to help save on weight. ;)
If anybody want's to trade for this "improved" rear seat, let me know... the seats without cupholders super "rare".
I own a 2012 summit white ECO manual. I just installed the rear seat section with the cupholder in mine today. It fits perfectly. I found it at a local junkyard...it was only $75 and in perfect shape! The only thing id make sure to do is get the VIN off of donor vehicle and confirm interior RPO codes with dealership to confirm exact color if you are searching over web or phone

Am i missing something? Because I had the rear cup holders, but no head rest on the center seat in my 2012 LS.

That does seem a little extreme.

Odd that GM made so many production changes like that? I have a 2011 LS and it has the the rear cup holders, and it does have a head rest(or little non retractable bump) on the center seat Go figure! Maybe someone on the assembly line was still a little hung over and picked various seat backs when installing or maybe they ran out and said hey lets try these Eco seats! Didn't really matter to them, they fit! Who would notice or say anything about a headrest. LOL

Nope. As my sales guy told me, "It's all about weight." GM is looking at the total reduction in weight without playing favorites for various things that some people want, such as cup holders or a spare tire. If you want the extra stuff then you have to choose a different trim level.

Shoot, I didn't even know there were the rear seat cup holders when I bought my 2LT. I found it by accident several days later.

... or a parts and service department that is willing to work with you to figure out the parts you need to install them after the fact.
