I like the silver look of the calipers. I think they look great with the 1LT rims. But, the surface is rough, and mine are getting dust baked into them that I can't seem to get off anymore. Anyone have a good and easy way to clean the dust from the calipers to keep them looking silver, like new? Would brake parts cleaner do the trick, or would it remove the OEM silver paint?

You can buy acid for cleaning rims. Should work on the calipers as well. However keep it off rubber parts.

I actually would like to know this as well. & good techniques - mine isn't nice & silver anymore, would like to know of a safe way to clean them like new again?

Wire brush and any cleaner that removes brake dust. Honestly probably better to clean them and then paint them.

Would the wheel cleaner acid remove or damage the original paint on the calipers? I really don't want to repaint unless it's the only way.

Doesn't damage rims. Only leave it on for like 30 seconds and wash it off.

If you are replacing the pads, you could remove them somehow plug the holes and media blast them and paint them, or just replace them and paint them before you put the new ones on.

Get a dedicated wheel brush then use Sonax full effect . Wolfgang Uber is a good cleaner also.
