I just discovered a great and easy way to remove water spots from the chromed plastic trim on my Cruze, namely the chrome bar across the trunk. I noticed many spots on the underside by the license plate lights, and release button. Living in Florida, water spots are a major problem, because of the high minerals in our water. Unless you wipe the car down immediately after washing, you're in trouble.
I bought a "Clay Bar" kit a while ago, to try and clean up an old car I was selling. It didn't impress me much, and it got put way back on the shelf. I found it today, and decided to try it on these water spots. A miracle happened. The spots came off like magic. I had tried cleaner wax, windex and dish detergent with no results. The Clay Bar did the trick, and left no marks or residue. If you are wrestling with problem blemishes, or dirt that won't come off, try this. I was ready to throw the stuff out until today.
