Hi all,

I was replacing the intake manifold on my 2012 Chevy Cruze LS 1.8L when I noticed a broken wire on the intake tuner valve connector. I have not done an electrical pigtail before on a vehicle. Can anyone tell me what gauge wire this would be and how easy this is to do?

Looks like they sell the connector and I can splice all 4 wires which probably is what needs to happen as the others look to be done as well. I thought about just putting it all back together to let a shop do it, just figured before I spent the money wanted to see if this is easy to do. The original codes being thrown out were p2078 and p0660. A different shop had told me the manifold needed to be replaced. Now I am thinking it was just this bad connector.

Thanks.

Look for a part number on the other side of that connector and see if you can find one on Amazon/Ebay/GM parts sites. It's common for mfr's to sell some connectors (injector pigtails are very common as the stupid clips constantly break) with a pigtail that you can solder or heat shrink back into the existing wiring harness.

Yes, I would imagine that broken #1 wire is definitely causing your code.

Did you ever find this? Did you fix the issue? Can you post the part number and source if you did?
