The tank in the Cruze is so small and I usually get 30+ MPG, so I haven't really noticed prices going up at the pump. A fillup is usually $25-30 and gets 300-400 miles depending on what I'm doing. I love not thinking about the MPG, and I've definitely stopped driving for gas mileage like I did with the '12 more often.
Part of me wants a larger car with more power sometimes, but I found even going to the 2.0T Fusion after owning a Cruze would be a huge drop in gas mileage that I didn't want. I drove my dad's V6 Jeep around to run some errands (started with 1/4 tank, empty a few hours later) and filled it up...and forgot that a full tank in that thing is dang near $50-60 even with gas on the "cheap" side. That made me rethink getting the little GMC Canyon I've been wanting.
