Ok guys so here's a quick install with a lot of pictures. If anyone has questions or needs help, PM me.

First of all, a list of the tools I used.

- 7mm deep well socket, or regular with extension
- small flat head screw driver
- 3m double sided tape

The first thing that needs done is to remove all the plastic of the dash.

Start with this piece

I took the small flat head and pryed the bottom right and left hand corners. The rest of the pieces I removed by hand.

Next comes these two pieces. I didn't disconnect the wire of the silver piece, I just let it hang over the right side of the console.

Next, take you 7mm socket and remove the 2 bolts holding the mini storage compartment and remove.

Next, remove the the 4 bolts holding the AC controller and the 4 plugs connected to the back - remove unit.

Next, remove the 2 screws holding the radio unit in place and the 1 wire in the back - remove unit.

Next, remove the 2 screws holding the stock screen in place and the CANBUS wire in the back - remove unit.

Remove the 4 screws holding the CD played in place and the 3 wires in the back - remove

Move the large power cord of the CD through right hand AC vent

Attach the power cord tether from the supplied wire harness.

Place the tether back into the main console area with the stock power cord buried in the pocket in the right hand side vent

Attach the tethered power cord and the CANBUS cord to the new SATNAV system

Attach show tether to the connector points on the power tether

Attach shown wire to the supplied box

Attach other end of CANBUS cable to the stock end the CANBUS cable

Please post a few pictures here of your connections. I am quite sure you have not connected the main cable properly.. Is the cable damaged in shipping? Your turn signal sound has nothing to do with our system. Connect all stock plugs n screen and check if everything is working. If it does, it has to work 100% with our system in place. Because, Our system does not interrupt the main system (I.e. the one inside the CD player.). Make sure the MAIN cable, connects from the stock input cable, to the CD player. Then the rest
Image 74 is a open end connector, nothing in the instructions say where to put it?
I can't remember exactly but that's got to get plugged in . Did you plug anything back in behind the silver cd player box?
I know I had an extra cable that wasn't connected either .... I'm not sure if you're had the same unit as me, but I was shipped a Japanese unit that use an extra cable. Not sure if you guys had that cable in your harness or not.

Hopefully Hemank can answer your question. What I would do if I were you is completely disassemble everything again and then connect it all up.

Remember to connect every wire in the stock radio controls and CD player. Don't leave any stock cables behind.
Duck, hemank told me that the nav should be working by the end of the week. I'm going to try something tonight though. I have come close to getting it going with the new version of route 66

Hi,
In picture Number 2, you have connected one side of the main cable to the Harness from your vehicle, but the other side of our cable goes to the Stock radio. Connect that, and your system should start just fine.

Check the attached image
it is connected. I had to disconnect it you for the harness out so you can see that 1 connection

I have tried disconnect everything at least twice but it doesn't seem to want to work

Kindly check if one of the pins were bent by mistake. I believed Nelson had called you as you requested him to, but you could not answer the phone.
Trouble Shooting

1. First of all, when you connect your stock Radio and Screen, Does everything work as it should?

2.Have you missed any of the mentioned connections?
Main Power Cable - Female end to the vehicle's harness, and Male end to the Radio
The other wires that come out of the above cable seem to be connected in the Pictures
Click more pictures of the cables connected on our unit. Have you pressed them firm enough?
Have any of the pins in the main cable bent due to mis allignment?

3. Is our unit powering up when you start the car?

4. Is our unit reading the A/C signals and Displaying them?

5. Is our unit reading the Radio inputs and displaying them?

6. HAVE YOU CONNECTED the Small connector for your stock Front panel in the vehicle? The white connector with the Blue Lock? This panel also has other buttons like Play, Pause, Next, Prev, Power, Config, Clock, Info, Back, etc.

7. Do Steering controls appear to work?

8. When you press the Config / Info / Clock button, what happens?

9. When you play from our DVD player, is there any audio output? Does the system automatically switch to AUX mode when you switch to DVD mode?

Let me know the answers to the above questions, and we will be able to pin point the fault

Hemank you have a PM, the supplied harnesses are starting to fall apart from disconnecting and reconnecting them so often and no longer make good connections.

Can anyone who's installed either the old or new interface comment on the iPod connectivity? I've read in numerous posts that the Electron Performance system retains the "stock functionality" but the stock iPod connectivity and interface is atrocious. Does this system improve the connectivity in any way? Specific items of interest are being able to pause the iPod using the play/pause button either on the stock unit or the new touchscreen and any resolution to the general glitchiness of the the stock connection (like the stock unit freezing and switching to FM radio if you try to navigate through the iPod menus too quickly). Thanks!
I have the old interface but from what ive seen the new interface should be better for ipod. The old interface will b exactly what you have now
Thanks for the info Cruzeman. Sounds like I may need to keep looking if iPod connectivity is a priority for me.
